The shortage is not uncommon: According to the expert, ten to 15 percent of men have complaints that are caused by it. A replacement therapy can help, either in the form of a daily gel or with a syringe administered every few weeks.

Lifestyle needs to be changed

Therapy is of little use, however, if the person affected does not change their lifestyle at the same time.

In concrete terms, this means losing weight and moving more. Because overweight, problems with blood pressure and lack of exercise are risk factors for testosterone deficiency. Weight training can increase testosterone levels.
